Dominic Brown & Frankie Gao

Noordeinde 14, 2514 GH The Hague

Mimesia Gallery will open its doors to host an extraordinary exhibition of works by Dominic Brown and Frankie Gao.

The exhibition will run until the end of 2016, and can be viewed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (12:00 to 18:00 hrs.) and on appointment.

Dominic Brown (Rijswijk, Netherlands) is inspired by the imagery he discovers in various sources, from modern art to prehistoric rock art. During the upcoming exhibition you will be able to view the colorful and robust mixed media works by his hand. Dominic works with a combination of traditional and digital methods: most of his works start off as traditional works, but are then scanned and finished by digital means. As a result his works are unique in their own sense, with each work having a distinct character. He is also the driving force behind Modern Murals: an initiative in which the public space is enhanced with murals. Dominic has already exhibited in the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, and Denmark.

Frankie Gao (Hamburg, Germany) is inspired by astronomy and science fiction. During this exhibition she will take you on a journey through an organic world filled with geometry. With her work she tries to find answers to questions like the essence of being, and ponders on the insignificance of the individual human life. Her works have a hypnotic character. She already has an impressive career with exhibitions in North America, Asia and Europe, and her work is represented in public collections in Asia and Europe.

We are looking forward to see you at the opening!
